Montmorency Falls, or not just a single Niagara Falls

Let's continue our trip which we had began here and here.

When we was ready go to Quebec city from Montreal one of our friend reminded us about famous waterfalls in that area. We asked Google about and got the answer. Montmorency Falls. 

We decided that this is going to be our first stop on the way to Quebec city despite the fact that we had just one day for them. Montmorency Falls is not so far, about 12 km from the heart of old Quebec City.

It is from 3,5 to 4 hours travelling from Montreal to Quebec city by car.

On the Autoroute 20 E we were starting to see more and more warnings about danger from animals like deers and moose on the road. And it was for a reason. We saw a dead deer on the hwy. It was somebody's bad luck to met it on the way. I cannot imagine how bad it is when you hit moose or deer. Scary.

Well we drove through Quebec city via hwy and reached Montmorency Park. Then we paid for the parking something like 10 dollars and entered in park.

Montmorency Falls and Park are really awesome.

Water which is falling down charms you.

There is really nice view from a bridge above the Montmorency Falls. You can see St. Lawrence river and coasts of New France.

Close to waterfall is very beautiful ravine. When you see it you might start to expecting appearance of indians.

On the other side of ravine you can have a good time in nice park which reminds to me ukrainian village from my childhood.

Somebody had gamed with the words

Long, wood stairs were attached to the rock, that you can go to the foot of Montmorency Falls where you will easy get wet for sure.

Montmorency Falls 30 m (98 ft) higher than Niagara Falls.

Although Niagara Falls is well-known around the world I liked Montmorency more.

Maybe because of beauty of nature around.
